The 2012 grom bomb was organised by Cam kite, and run by hopkin team riders and asra.
The events success was a credit to the people involved.,all whom have been involved in organising, coordinating and running races for quite some time now. Kams girlfriend Jae has contributed a lot of her own time in the weeks and months leading up to the event also, making…

Over in SA, let me tell you about this spot, that is on this hill, overlooking a beautiful golf course and the crystal blue sea, and where the roads are perfect hot-mix. It’s a great spot and it feels like skate paradise. It’s a short run, ….but it’s fast. PLUS, just to make it even better for spectators, from the top of the hill you can pretty much see the entire run because…

The Wild WIld West Outlaw was a huge success. So stoked to see heaps of riding coming out and stepping up their game. I saw a huge improvement in a lot of riders, the biggest of which was Shane Dennehy. He's been in the scene for a while now, quitely popping up every now and then but this weekend i really saw him stepping…

In conjunction with the MOSS JAM,members of Team Melburn hosted a night of skating in and around the Melbourne CBD.We started the night at the prestigious Fitzroy Gardens, and with a turn out of around 30 skaters, there was a great mix of skill and style, ranging from new comers to dancers to high speed drifting and everything else inbetween. After skating Fitzy for about an hour…

Tyler the youngest of all the groms at 9! super solid little tuck and sic race lines make him one to watch!
Stoked to wake up to near perfect race conditions and with no time to lose I smashed a banana, hopped in the car and headed out to a rad little race hill stashed away in the blue mountains. The Grom Bomb at the tender age of a new born has set the bar high for future grom racing in OZ. With the 64 spots filling well before the close of rego…

Girls who inspire us by Maga McWhinnie
Downhill skateboarding its a extreme sport that started growing in the last 5 years. It was always seen as a very dangerous sport where boys go hard down the hills riding "crazy" speedboards. As a surprise for many of…

Sunday 25th of September 2011 was the day, and skaters from all over Adelaide got together at Brownhill Creek to skate and raise money for Camp Quality.
It was a huge success, and made more than $750 for a very good cause. This was 3 times the expected donation so a huge thumbs up to everyone who put in. Great stuff guys!!
The generosity for this…

Videos, Pictures and other stories have surfaced from the Brisbane Freeride Event, so I thought I would take the time to write a more in-depth recollection.
The creation of this particular event began roughly two months ago through a facebook group. When it first began it was merely an idea, but the group quickly grew. Monday the 19th of September at Coronation Street in Bardon, was established as the time and place.
After a heap of discussion through Facebook…

Over the past 2-3 years the longboarding scene round Brisbane, the Sunshine and Gold Coast and Australia in general has just blown up like crazy.
We thought it was about time, we got some of the experienced riders, groms and in some cases mini-groms together for an all out fun freeride.
The day kicked off at about 8:00, with the exception of Millzy and Ben who managed to get their ages before anyone else. Groups of sunny coast kids, mainly featuring the Grom…

After an awesome day at Toohey Tracks the day before, we all dragged ourselves out of bed when it was still dark to head up to the hill. We fixed up the worst corners guard rail with some nice soft foam and it was pretty much a race ready to go, all we needed was skaters...
We were expecting 32 riders a couple of days beforehand but rumours of it being a bust spooked many and so we were left with a handful of awesome local and Gympie boys, plus Gemma (who was speeding down…

Its been 8 months and 4 races since we moved up the coast, each week the local crew has been growing and each race the talent has been improving, as far as outlaws go we have been very lucky and amazingly we have never had a major accident or been shut down. Just heaps of fun, prizes and good times had by all.…

The title of the report is pretty lame "Longboarders risk lives to prove a point", but the the actual clip is finally done by a very generous and sympathetic reporter who gives your side of the story.
We are super stoked with it and hope this might lead to something positive.
Peace!…
