The 2012 grom bomb was organised by Cam kite, and run by hopkin team riders and asra.
The events success was a credit to the people involved.,all whom have been involved in organising, coordinating and running races for quite some time now. Kams girlfriend Jae has contributed a lot of her own time in the weeks and months leading up to the event also, making trophy, medals, printing shirts, etc,Thank you very much for all your contributions Jae,your creative talents have really helped to make this event great. After many late nights for Kam and Jae in preperation, the day had come.

A riders meeting and welcome was done,a timing system was setup for qualifying then marshals owen, myself and jacko took our positions at the start line to get the racers in order and started. Robbo, haggy and Trav set up on the finish line with duddy and kam keeping their eye on the middle part of the track and stayed close to the first aid area ready to put patches on wounded groms.

This event was more pro than pro, with all bases covered, the groms got on with putting on an impressive show for everyone. It was a great feeling being a part of this event,to see how much the sport has grown and be able to share the stoke with so many smiling groms. BENBRO

It was great to see such a huge turnout, so many new faces and also plenty of regular grom shredders who have all upped their game big time and were ready for the win. But most importantly i was seriously stoked on the attitude that everyone had at the race, so many good riders all well mannered and carried a good spirit with them. So many just there to spread the stoke and just enjoy a solid day of racing with their mates. JACKO

Congrat's Kam for lining up what turned out to be a big hit for the up and coming riders.

I wish this sort of thing had been around when I first started speedboarding although I would have been a really old grom. Ha!

Credit needs to go to Ross from BlueMountainsBoardriders aswell for blowing down the track early morning. Putting in a full days effort helping out and cleaning down the site after, securing the future of more riding at the PumpStation by keeping the local community happy.
