hey fitz i was wondering if it is possible to lathe down the hexagonal parts on the radikal axels down to 5mm or less or is the material to hard to do this?

Just read a old thread of Duffs and the spline is just inside the hanger so i'll pull the axle out,Cheers Tim

Thanks for the info Fitz, since im only cutting about 10mm off each side of the hanger i thought i could get away with leaving the axle in and cutting the hanger down on a lathe. Then just shorten the axle to suit and recut the threads as long as the spline on the axle is not right on the edge of the hanger. Ive got access to a machine shop with a mill, lathe &press,it may be easier just to buy Trackers but i love Indys & like messing with stuff ,Cheers Tim
