--Before we saw your films we didn’t even know what speedboarding was. Is there an easy way to describe what speedboarding is and why you do it?--

Well basically Speedboarding is a sport which involves racing down big, winding hills on special skateboards designed to reach high speeds (I'm talking 120kmph). ASRA Admin Daddow Strikes Back

Steve Daddow won his first Conehead Cup race of 2009, remaining undefeated throughout the day and striking back at his main rival Jackson Shapiera who had to settle for second. Nathan Paff took third by edging out Haggy Strom by 0.03 of a second.

This was Melbourne's first time hosting the Conehead Cup, and the classic Melbourne winter weather; cold, wet and windy, was appreciated by all. The morning produced loads of frustration; the racers were unable to practice… Click here for the full story

Some history

I started skateboarding at age 8, originally to be like Tony Hawk, but latter on I wanted to pull impossibles like Rodney Mullen, then after many of an accident and the local skate bowl being overrun by an gang, I decided at 14 to quit it. During my previous years skateboarding I always had an itch to try out other, not the average double kicker, skateboards and this is where my intrest in accuring an 1970s surfboard-like single kicker skateboard grew from.

Premium Member sunday downhill in Brisbane

from 10 am this sunday 17th at Millwood place , upper kedron Nw Brisbane . lets get a few of the locals out with the Brissy groms and do a session . we have radar speed gun , walkie talkies .

ASRA Admin No Bastardry, Plenty of Beatings

The cream of Australia's downhill skateboard and luge riders gathered in the tropical heat of Townsville for a weekend of thrashing themselves on the steep and winding Mt Stuart road, located on the edge of town.

For the most part there was no competition; this was a charity freeride to raise money for prostate cancer; the "bastard" that has to be beaten.

ASRA Admin Ramón and Jackson Share Round 1

Jackson Shapiera and Ramón Königshausen shared the honours in the first Conehead Cup of 2009, with Jackson winning the ditch and Ramón getting his revenge in the head-to-head slalom.

Kincumber ditch is notorious for being wet at just the hint of rain, yet was miraculously dry on Saturday after a solid week's rain. Hey all u mob, Im trying to track down companies or shops that sell downhill helmets and leathers cause ive been googleing for hours and cant find jack squat so if anyone could fill me in on where i can obtain these that would be f ' n great cause i need the rest of my skin:)..... cheero
