I started skateboarding at age 8, originally to be like Tony Hawk, but latter on I wanted to pull impossibles like Rodney Mullen, then after many of an accident and the local skate bowl being overrun by an gang, I decided at 14 to quit it. During my previous years skateboarding I always had an itch to try out other, not the average double kicker, skateboards and this is where my intrest in accuring an 1970s surfboard-like single kicker skateboard grew from.

After quiting at 14, I turned my attention to computer programming and electronics, and have been focusing on these intrests and school until a couple of weeks ago I had an dream (some may say this is going to go down the spirital bullshit street but this is the way it is, like it or not) about skateboarding. Now since then I hadn't thought about skateboarding for about 3.2 years, but the next morning I had the eurge to rip out the ol' double kicker and take it for an spin and so I did, it felt great being on there again even though I wasn't doing much on there. Then I remembered about an movie about skateboarding's aparent origins, Z-Boys and Dogtown, so I researched the Z-Boys and found out about Dogtown.

Using an skateboard to surf the pavement like an surfboard surfs the sea, is what I wanted to do from that week onwards, my cliche is rolling down streets dodging cones then performing 180 turns at the end of the cones that cause me to grab the ground to keep stable. Two weeks after the dream, I accuried an Z-Flex Crusier complete skateboard. Now after my first week of surfing the pavement, I cant wait to get back on after I recover from my injuries, maybe even try out an hand-plant or two on an ramp\wall somewhere too.
