helmet and leathers where to find?

As said before best of the best is Icaro for helmets ($300-$400) and NJK for custom downhill leathers ($1300-$1500). At the other end of the scale is ebay ($50-$200) for leathers and any BMX fullface for helmets ($80-$200)

yeah liking the icaro grid cut integral helm pretty much going for one of them and might just work a touch harder and invest in a NJK set i reckon there pretty solid by the sound of things... thx to all
ah one other Q is it better to have clear visor for vision or mirror/blue tint ok?

Tint is ok but I would avoid mirror, too easy to scratch and then too easy to see the scratch. The integral models are great for racing but maybe not so safe in a high side crash, the 4Fight Cut models are a little safer in a crash if you land on the back of your head.

it has already been said,but take into account your level of expeirience,if you r just startin out or learning,top of the line expensive leathers n helmets will get thrashed,a couple of crashes and your 2 grands worth of gear can soon be fucked,

yeah ben that crossed my mind today.. Im gona try and track down some oldies i think until ive got my experience up... thx for all the great advice guys.... im hanging to get into this hey, havnt stopped thinking of massive hills all flippin day :)
