The second Noosa Hill Climb social event/freeride was on!

The week leading up to this amazing event was glorious sunshine all week on the Sunshine Coast, living up to its name. However on Thursday and Friday rain and dark threatening clouds were putting the charity event on edge. Everyone was waiting for an official call.

I arrived on the hill around 9am to be greeted by light showers and a freezing wind. The road in question is a narrow, rough, bumpy and steep run starting from a Wind Turbine and running for about 1.5kms to the finish line. Early morning skating... I was out for a pre-dawn roll when I ran into a raving party animal on his way back from the backpacker-filled and rum-fuelled nightclubs. Never caught his name, but did catch a few ghostly images of him rolling through the Townsville darkness.
