I'm thinking something where there are clues, signs, arrows, detours, and red herrings; where competitors maybe skate in small groups, and where speed isn't really the goal. Something with a storyline to follow which creates an event that is one part skate orienteering, one part psychedelic easter-egg hunt, one part paintball, and one part an episode of The Mighty Boosh.

thought it might of been cool to have social push race, like you say the road crossing and pedestrian situation probably wouldnt go well, just a thought, been rackin my brain 4 a safe venue to host a bit of a race to suit all levels within naccosia.hard thing to acheive.

Fernleigh track was built on a disused railway line so it's got a fairly constant slight gradient ,which makes it so perfect for skating. it's about as wide as a single lane road and also fairly heavily used as a commuter route by cyclists and kids/pedestrians and does cross a few roads...so is'nt really suited for anything too serious...but is an amazing place for kids, learners and anyone that wants to cruize for kms just carving and cross stepping ect. Fin (8 years) used his slalom board and just wiggled the whole way. Car shuffle is the go so you don't have to walk all the way back. Anything there would be a cool day out, preferrably involving an ale at the end of it all...Cameron park (just off the Newcstle exit F3) would be more the go for fast stuff/slalom/freeride ect

When are you guys gonna get the poker run happening on the Fernleigh Track? It'd be great! I'm imagining something like a race, but where speed isn't a big factor. There should be a large degree of randomness, and a bit of adventure and exploration. Pack water and food. Party at the end.
