homemade precisions
hey guys. im thinkin of making some cnc trucks for my sace research project. any ideas or suggestions on design or materials?

Inline axle thats 8mm (axle sits in line with kingpin) 5mm+ of rake, Radikal fit axles would be nice too (so you can go custom width's) And a nice High Base plate thats ajustable (with inline axle and rake your going to have a low truck, abit of meat on the plates would be nice so you dont have to much around with risers.

sure it'll work with metals? and on multiple axis? or to tight enough tolerances? If your school has it might not be multi axial, and even then your school may not be happy with you using it for that much metal haha
if so then..... why didn't i go to your school haha
materials wise finding somewhere to buy two billets of high quality, unigrain aluminium is probably a downer too....

if you can get a good enough design and talk your teacher into letting you run a few sets off then you might have more luck finding somewhere to sell you materials.

ill give it a go. might get some material and run off a test in mdf or something, then if that turns out perfect, give it a shot with the metals.

if you can build something like i described i would be definently looking at a set if you decided to sell a few off
