ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

I'm looking to buy my first board and dont want to spend a fortune. After gathering a lot of opinions I decided to get the deck from http://www.skateboardexpress.com.au/longboard-decks/ and an orangatangg and randall truck package from boardshop. I was wandering what deck is the best for a cheap beginner,. (that has flexyness, quality of build, etc.)

Most people on this site would argue against and Vault board, the best and cheapest board out there is and OMNI drop 43'...

http://www.hopkin.com.au/omni-drop-43-complete.html

Check it out, just the best started board ever!
hey man, this is a list of good cheap longboards to check out which wont be junk like the vault http://lmgtfy.com/?q=first+longboard
Yes, the OMNI is a very good board for it's price. However it is downhill oriented, and you might not know if that's what you want to get into. Generally, the first board people get is a cheapish allrounder, and then see what style of riding they like and specialise after that. With that said, the OMNI is still cheap and also good.

I don't really like Vaults myself, I agree with what Scott said.

Otherwise, I have my first board and I'm thinking about selling. It isn't anything flash, and it's a cruising board, so it's pretty allround. If you're interested I could sell it to you for a low price like around $50 (plus shipping). It's a Sector 9 Padang if you wanna Google it. If you're interested I'll get it back from my mate and give you some pics.
hey man, just look around on asra for a board second hand thats ur best bet, if not and ur gonna buy a board new got to the hop shop because they are probley the best people for longboards and stuff and pretty much know everything and im sure jacko or rob or someone will get something done for you cheaply ;)

how long will the board last.
WTF, I dunno...however long it takes you to run into enough poles for it to split?

Unless you leave your board outdoors in the rain and sun 24/7 or get it run over by a truck
you should get 20 to 30 years out of it.
