Got a cheap board bag alternative,i got a canvas duffle bag from anaconda for $38 it's 25"x42".
It fits my evo & hill killer, leathers, gloves pads, tools&two helmets and i reckon i could cram another board in there.

I use a padded kitesurfing bag (kite boards must be shortish - its about 120cm Long) fits a longboard (100cm), slalom board pads and helmet. About $60- Its tough too, been through the airport a few times and been strapped to my roofrack for 3000ks. No tears, splits seams or anything.
the kitesurfing bag sounds good man, whereabout did ya pick that up?
i was just going to buy a decent sized cricket bag....but damn, that kitesurfing bag is a damn good idea....
I got the Kite Surfing Bag from a place in Sydney down near Brighton Le Sands, I can't find it on the web at the moment... but I guess any Kite Surfing shop would have them - I think they are similar to wake boarding bags too. Google Kite Surfing Bag and you'll see a few examples.

I was going to go the duffle bag idea but the padding in the Kite Surfer one sealed the deal for me. I recon for 2 or less boards these are great. More than that a purpose built skate bag is pretty tempting.

Anyhow Ben you'll probably see mine when I'm down for the Night Twitching!
that'd be awesome mark, check your pm's too!

i've just been getting interested in the whole idea of having a bag to throw everything in and just be able to "go"....so to speak...

another suggestion was the lined bodyboard bags- which can apparently be up to 1.5m....kite bag....i'll look into it!
boardshop is now selling a dedicated board bag but at $250 its pretty pricey....
I can't say cheap, but high quality purpose designed bags for a lot less than $250 are available from Decent Hardware.com or Boomerdog on the Central Coast.

I'm using a golf club and golf bag travel bag, but i like the sound of the Anaconda Duffle, good for smuggling?
Ok i finally got round to trying the Golf Bag, I got the D'seed, Glyde and my 35" BDS in comfortably, could prob. get all my boards in if i took the hangers off. Still plenty room for other shit, inc. leathers. Will take a photo of it loaded and post.

yeah i saw that online it looks like a pretty god bag but i definitely can't afford to pay 250 for a bag.

whereabouts did you find the anaconda bag??
Designed by a skater ,built for skaters ! FITS all ya gear and plenty off pockets !!

DECENT HARDWARE .COM
the body bag its great for the traveling skater
Ching do yourself a favour and send boomerdog an email about the decent hardware bags.

If your after a deal of a different kind try Smith st, in Fitzroy, cnr Westgarth st
theres the golf discount place they have a couple of different golf club bag travel covers.
Wayne.
OOppps.... Just checked the exchange rate and Boardshop are selling at the same price as me. Sorry Boardshop, didn't mean to make you sound expensive!
Unfortunately the costs of postage (it cost's me $60-70 USD to post 1 bag to the USA or UK for eg) and the drop in the AUD don't make it easy to supply cheaper.
The bags Boomerdog has/had where sent before the currency drop when USD and AUD were almost level.

I've seen and used the bag from anaconda. A mate got one while he was working there.
They're very thin and wouldn't last a tenth the life of a Decent Hardware bag. I was lucky and got one off Boomer for the good price. This is entirely my opinion. I have no affiliation and paid full price for mine.
Also if you care for your equipment the padding helps alot esp if you are travelling interstate. Baggage handlers have what I call passion fingers. Everything they touch, they f#*k!
