well, ive been following these up for a while now, and im sure that a few of you have also seen/heard of them.
they come from the same prototypes as gunmetals, but they have been extensively tested and these are the differences between them, gunmetals and randals :
caliber dh cast trucks have a:
- deeper bushing seat than randals, but less restrictive than gunmetals
- 184mm hanger
- 44* baseplate
- beefed up hanger for straight axles
- awesome cast.
- unflippable hanger, so that when you destroy one side, you can flip it, and it wont change the ride.

also, their team is pretty sick, with liam morgan being a young teen who pulls off better slides than most of the pros here in aus.
heres a link.

i havent ridden them yet, but i am very very exited for their arrival to aus.
btw, they are gonna cost 55 US, and the expected date for purchase is about december-ish.

damm they look nice
nah merrick, these aren't even released in the states yet. you are probably thinking of gunmetals. they look super similar because the original makers split after an argument. gunmetals and calibers being the 2 different trucks from the same origins

look similar but rather different specs
they seem to me like they are a gunmetal clone, i love gunmetals, i would give these a run though.

Can i just say that the bent axle conspiricy with gunmetals is a joke, there have been a hand full of guys bend them, same as every other damn truck, i have taken mine to the park and ridden them on my street deck doing stair sets etc and they are still perfectly straight
gunmetals have an offset axle like paris/randal/gunmetal/bear etc etc

calibers have a neutral caster meaning they're like crails and some precision trucks (munkae, kooky)in terms of axle placement(NOT in relation to the kingpin hole)

this makes them turn differently etc etc.

bigger difference than most other cast trucks on the market.
mine came bent, then bent some more, after 2 runs of the fox.

(this is how they came)
and I'll add another of the one two runs later

anyway a flippable hanger doesn't sound like it would help with bending, as it never bends perpendicular to the hanger, always in line with gravity, so when you flip it, it means that the bend is facing at an odd angle

yea...
they are the improved, stronger, better version of gunmetals
yea, you wont be able to unbend them by flipping them, but you will be able to grind both sides...
ahaha
gunbendables....
here are some pics of the height difference between these and randals from silverfish.
heres a comparison between the caliber 50* on the left, a caliber 44* on the right, and a gunmetal at the back.

heres a comparison between the 50* caliber on the right, a 42* randal on the right, and a 50* randal at the back

and some more teasers...

looks wise, i reckon that's easily the ugliest reverse kingpin truck on the market.

aahahaahah

you are entiled to your own opinion.

i highly disagree with you on that one tho!

trucks are like girls, they both come in all shapes and sizes so everyone gets a ride they like.

Where can I purchase these from? :D
