Your Ultimate Slide Puck
Hi all
Oliver and myself are looking at producing slide pucks to sell around the place. We have found some wicked UHMW polyethylene material which we've been testing for a while with awesome results. Very smooth and slippery slide and extremely slow wearing.
Just wondering what people like in terms of puck dimensions...
The pucks will be circular and the current prototype has a diameter of 90mm. Is 90mm too big? I don't mind it myself, but what size do you all like? What would be your perfect diameter?
How about thickness? What would you rather.. 10mm, 15mm, 20mm?
Let us know what you reckon, and we'll see what we can hook up.

I have big hands and reckon 90mm is about right for me, definitely no bigger. I like 20mm thick to help keep my fingertips off the road, but 15mm would probably be OK. Circular is good cos I wear 'em unevenly and circles can be rotated.

Thats why I like 20mm, to help keep my fingertips off the road.. that way you don't have to use finger pucks which get in the way.

Maybe one 90 and something smaller like 70 or 80? And yea I also prefer a little thicker pucks.
Btw you dont happen to have any for sale right now? Been looking to get some new pucks.

i rode some 25mm cutting board pucks for a session and the size was dope for techsliding, would love some 30mm delrin pucks that are nice and big

I can express post these to you for $20 if you'd like. Will also include velcro, the 'hook' side.

Sean, we can customise the thickness for you.
I'd say this stuff is better than delrin.
What would you like, a set of 90mm x 30mm?
There will be a bit of a wait til we get materials in, as we're still in the process of testing.

Sounds good, all tough 90mm is way too big for my hands (just measured my current pucks, they are 60mm) I would probably need 70mm and 15-20mm thick, preferably 15. Also the deal with included velcro on the pucks is awesome!

I use mudslides and the have a diameter of 90mm by 10mm might b a bit thin tho probs 15mm would b bets in my opinion

Ok cool. 70mm x 15mm no worries.
However there will be a wait on these until we get materials in. The price of $20 with velcro expressed was for the prototype 90mm x 20mm but will still do this price for the different size. To everyone else, we're still sussing this all out and will not know the exact price til we've worked out materials etc.
