depends on what sliding your doing man... stand up slides and speed checks on longboards you can use pretty much anything, the harder the better and it depends on your skill level, but if you wanna do some SERIOUS sliding and start busting some 50m slides and throwing in about 720degrees of rotation then your gonna need some propper sliding wheels, and a propper sliding board...
Slide wheels you would want something about 60-65mm and upwards of 95a... pool/park wheels work the best because they have a hard formula and have the rounded edges. I use the rainskates Yellow Jackets they are sick for sliding... http://www.hopkin.com.au/rainskates-62mm-yellow-jackets-98a-set-of-...
and the sort of board you want is a large 'double-kick' board, usualy about 9.5"-10" wide and around the 35" Length mark... the more concave the better the slide. I use the Rayne Agent ---> http://www.hopkin.com.au/rayne-agent-sliding-deck.html
This seems to be the place to post this;
I have a set of 56mm Slide A's that have been ridden on once and slid about 6 or 7 times. I'm particularly looking for trades (and will add cash) but money will do fine. I can chuck in a set of bones reds as well.
It just rained in Adelaide so I went out and had a sliding session, so much fun and you can slide alot longer when its wet. Not sure about stand up slides in the wet as you can hurt yourself badly as I found out.
hey kam, do you reckon you could bring your old slide wheels on thursday night, i'll try and come up with 20 bucks =P
gonna chuck some grip on that california team bowl board and get my slideeeee on!
