as i have said, i am running a carpark out law with the imput of quite a few guys, chinamans downhill is a clean cut decision with no ref, thus it works
ben, when the objective is to do as many laps as you can, hence the judge can fuck up and that fuck up can decide the outcome, i know it sounds full proof but it can go wrong easily
peer judged means you have no ref ben, not having someone on the outside having the final say in the result, in skateboarding thats simply wrong if you ask me
yes, ben i am runing a carpark race and a peer judged slopestyle comp this summer, PEER JUDGED as in the guys who are competing in the event are also judging who is riding the best, i dont believe in anyone out side those competing having a say in the result of the event.
Personally dont agree with the idea of someone who is not involved being able to decide the outcome in skateboarding. i am running an event like this in early jan and i wont be going anywhere near this format because i can see it fucking up too easily, i wont race it either because it involves an outside call being made
1) getting stuck in the lift is very very rare. you can take the stairs?
2) we just need guys at the top and the bottom to count how many runs are done. they're not judging. and we're you the one that kept trying to set up peer judged slide comp? -.- long term memory or just hypocrite?
personally i dont like the idea of having guys judging..... i am not a fan of judges in skateboarding so thats just me, as soon as you have 'marshal's' you introduce a viable way to protest, it seems your over complicating a simple racing style where there is a fully functioning format, also, its going to raise the odds of someone getting stuck in a lift (your using the lifts alot more) and thats not something we want ever, especially during a race
