helmet should be the number 1 priority. I'd say gloves would come 2nd. I find that as a beginner, padded shorts would help a lot because of all those awkward falls that you won't be use to. I wished that I had padded shorts when i started out but in the long run, it won't be necessary.

Slide Gloves, kneepads helmet atlest to start with...elbow pad couls come in handy too...

ok might as well ask here seeing you guys are friendly, what do I need in the way of safety gear? Got helmet, nothing else. Gloves? Knee pads? Elbow pads? Body armour? Kevlar pants? brake Soles?

Hey Alex...if you're free Sunday night we're most probably gonna skate. I'm keen on Fitzroy gardens (there are plenty of runs for you to pick from). We can check out Flinders carpark for awhile if you're keen. It's nearby anyway.

Ben, where are you thinking for dinner? Im craving some beer deluxe too bad the promo isn't on though.

just got my rayne demonseed, but it could be a while before I have free time to ride it. I'm a complete LB beginner, but have skating history back in the 80's. Looking to learn some tips and tricks from some more established and knowledgeable riders.
