Lube for bearings which one?

I have found that petrol isn't the best cleaner for bearings as it leaves a residue on your bearings, acetone or denatured/pure alcohol are the best thing because they leave nothing behind.
For lube u can use watever u can get a hold of, just try get something with a low viscosity. Whether it be lanolin or Bones Speed Cream.

I've been using this for the last couple of months in my Biltins,
mainly cos Biltins are a single shield and really open compared to twin seals,
my theory/hope is the grease will fill some of the gap btwn the races and shield.
But, over $50 for 180grm.

crc will dry your bearings out it will not libe them as some people think.

meths is the best Ive found for cleaning and bones speed creams are good for lube

I got some lithium bearing lubricant from a bike shop. it was thick white stuff and made the bearings run quiet. Didn't work very well though.. seemed to add resistance until "heated" up. =S

should have gone that extra mile for SKATE lubricant.. the bicycle stuff has a diff application i think.. or maybe my breaings were just dying anyway. haha

A large amount of bearing speed is in fact how thin the lubricant is.

however you trade longevity for it, so grease is generally better for a beater.
There's a few things that live in the middle too, but I use tri-flow on everything...

if you like cleaning bearings - thin oil like speed cream or singer oil.
if you hate cleaning bearings- grease
if you don't mind going a bit slower than fastest - grease
if you like going fast and hate cleaning bearings - too bad you're stuck with buying new ones all the time.

i've always used graphite powder - and almost never have to clean my bearings as it doesn't collect dirt/ dust/ grit ,)

It's a "dry" lubricant - used in padlocks and other precision devices where you don't want grit to collect. Every hardware carries it - I've had/used my (same) container for 20+ years so don't use much else ,)
pretty much the same compound that you find in a pencil.
