Here she is, beautiful waist and some W concave in the back with deeper tub cave in the front (deeper than the 08 version). Much better graphic as well IMO.
nah its at the back. it took me a while to get my head around the W cave being in the same position as your back foot, but if you are one of those guys that have all their weight over the front truck then it shouldn't be too much of a problem. i kind like the idea and have often thought of similar designs myself.
I don't think I'd be so much the trouble pushing, but Mongo footbaraking would be interesting from a spectator POV.
Images of front foot coming off to brake while board squirrels round like crazy, arms go out just as rider faceplants at 60km/h. Ouch!
My old bulldog had W concave but much more subtle. It was 38 X 10, 19.5wb double kick but still only 7ply. The extra rib up the centre adds a huge amount of extra rigidity and stiffness to flex without needing to go thicker in ply.
I felt really good under foot on such a wide deck.
Someone suggested riding switch but I don't think it'd work.
The idea is putting a ridge down the centre of the deck for your rear foot toes to dig into when your heel comes up on toeside turns.
The front foot doesn't work like that, normally staying down relatively flat.
The W concave in the back would also form a really nice pocket for your toes in a tuck. Especially for those who Euro tuck, it would make placing the toe much easier.
the aim for the 'wave-cave' is to lock in your back foot while drifting/sliding. You can use the extra pocket to dig your heels/toes into when executing slides without your back foot slipping around, giving you more control over drifting and cornering. I like the looks of this one and i think ive found my new speed-board... Otherwise its the freeride board that Rayne never had (but does now)
