Improvement on the last two baseplate designs, didn't like the 09,10 curvey base. definately a step in the right direction. Now all they need is straight hangers
probably better off with the 852's or if you like the idea of multiply baseplates then you could do randals or prandals.
Is it a smokies baseplate with grizzly hanger? I wouldn't bother unless you are breaking baseplates. Wouldn't it be better to have a cnc hanger and a cast baseplate?

that might answer a few questions???
precision hangers would be way better,
you would get a lot more precision out of a cast plate with a precision hanger than this way,

yeah thats true... im agreeing with both of you, you reckon you could get a precision bear hybrid hanger on like a 42' randal bp?
im skating randals 42 randals now but i thought i might spend the little extra without going into full precision trucks..
just a thought...

I don't think these trucks are really aimed for full on DH, that's what the smokies are for. I assume that these are for providing a variety of truck angles that would be otherwise unavailable without having to use wedging and most likely screwing with board height..(especially with a drop thru)
and yes, precision hangers (most of them) make a bigger difference than baseplates in terms of ride
yeh i really think it will make some difference but not greater deal of difference for freeride,
i would just go with the full cast trucks or the full precision trucks.
