Hey guys,

I was looking at getting some dh trucks and the trucks Bear Grizzly's keep coming up. I was wondering if there are any advantages of getting the 10mm axle over the 8mm speed, traction etc. i was looking around the $100-$150 range any other truck recommendation welcome.

Hi Oliver, I recommend the 8mm Grizzly's, they are good for what your thinking of doing Dan
yeah stick to the 8mm otherwise it really limits the bearings you can use
10mm axles resist bending better if you slide or hop gutters alot.
Bent axles can be unstable and wear your wheels out unevenly or not ride straight if bent badly.
If you're under 70kg 8mm are fine.
Save your dollars and get something like the Gullwing 10" DH combo (50deg front, 35 deg rear)and buy yourself a range of quality bushes ranging from 80A-95A.
The brand of truck doesn't really matter. Gullwing, Bear, Randal, Tracker etc are all reputable brands. It's all in the bushes you choose and how you tune them to your needs.
Talk to one of our benefactors on the right of screen and see what deal they can do for you.
forces are 85$ off dave kelly

trying not to clog up the forums, Would Paris 180's and their stock bushings be okay for dh if i tightened the them.
If you want aussie, get force trucks, local brand good product
aren't force trucks prone to breaking easily? or have they fixed all those problems?
Yeah dude,
Basicly they're all the same. 180 wide. Reverse kingpin. 50 and 35 deg kingpin angle.
Its all in the bushes. Not many trucks come with good quality bushes as stock though.

The word is that the 50 degree Force baseplates are prone to breaking, but the 35 degree Force baseplates are solid. The Force hangers are solid, and are compatible with Randal baseplates, so you can always mix n' match.
You get what you pay for. They are a cheaper solution.
People talk about the baseplate cup breaking but mine never did.
I know the no-name brand of force truck is a piece of polished up gnard!
Basicly they're the ones china copied from force. Die cast and brittle as. Very dangerous. They sell on ebay for like $40 per set. I wouldn't risk it with em.
