riffraff would i be right in that we will only be responsable for the transponder during the 3 hrs of qually? IE: get it at the start and hand it in at the end of qually?

 

Or will i have to put it under my pillow at night for the duration of the weekend so i dont loose it when im not riding?

Looking by the details given on the site, looks fair straight and not to techy, couldnt find it on google maps either, whats the surface like and stuff like that..

The BtS committee and GSE will cover any costs incurred if the transponder is damaged whilst you are racing.  However the BtS committee and GSE will not take any responsibility if theft, loss or damage is incurred whilst not racing.  If this occurs you will be charged the full rate of $680 for the transponder.

Merrick, i'm quite prepared to drop the transponder timing and save you the $50,and me the extra shit involved. i can refund the $50 to those who have already paid it. i have a timing set up from Thredbo as a back up, and it can more than handle the job!  Make the event a whole lot cheaper all round bro! Let me know people. Trav, look at the site, Saturday is practice then qualifying, then freeride. The heats start on Sunday morning, if we finish early ,more freeride. This is a real race and someone has to lose, for someone else to win. This is a closed road for two days, if its not good enough for you , then don't enter. lol

The current format means 3/4 of the field will be eliminated after the first round.

Would love to race, but not to be eliminated in qualifying or the first round if i'm lucky...

hey folks, really look forward to this event.

One question - are you still planning on a 32-man finals heat for skateboard?  If there are 70 skaters then almost 40 will be knocked out in qualifying.  It doesn't take much longer to run a 64-man tree, which I would recommend doing if you get a substantial number of skaters.

I know this is probably a if-you-have-to-ask-then-you-don't-need-to-know question, but in deciding whether to register can you possibly give me an idea of the sort of speeds this course is likely to involve?
