GLYDE OR RAYNE HELLCAT

Ok i wanna get into speedboardin and have worked out about topmounts and drop throughs etc ( heres my post on the fish - http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com/forum/longboard-speedboarding... )

and have been told to get a rayne hellcat; or when i mentioned i was in australia a glyde board. now i know everyone here says glyde is great and support and stuff but for a beginner that can swap between topmount and dropthrough which one would honestly be better. i know the hellcat is good and has the pleasure dome etc but everyone raves on about glyde here. so which is better?

i live in brisbane and at boardshop a hellcat is $265 and that happens to be the price of a GLYDE board. please help

They are only $250 gripped and shipped from CRE8IVE SK8 and HOPKINS RACING, support a shop that supports riders!!!!

yeah i know they are cheaper there but shipping will cost like $15 and i always feel safer picking the board up in person

ok the wait for the board isnt an issue. i wouldnt be getting one b4 christmas i expect.

hmmm i think merrick's answer is best. i understand the rave about glyde and supporting australian longboarding and im happy to see so much support for a home grown company.

okey dokey here it is. they can both handle speed so thats not an issue. when you say excellent freerider what does that mean??

get both and sell the one u dont like... thats your best option. there are great boards out there but remember some boards are just not for everyone...

GET A KILLSWITCH! BEST BOARD IN THE UNIVERSE!!! (but also quite expensive.... however worth every dollar)

still no wood and even when it comes i'm more interested in skating at the moment, ash and I have decided we prob wont really do anything till the new year so we can just skate, i've spent too much time making boards instead of riding them and am now skating like a retard.

yep, free express shipping. Ordered my bears and speed vents on thursday night, got the stuff on monday.

ok thanks. looks like when i get a board it will probably be the hellcat. but in saying that i wont be getting one for a while anyway like sometime next year. so maybe glydes will be back in production.
