ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

ive managed to collect a small fortune of points recently and am having trouble trading them in at local fast food restraunts and using them over the counter at bars, so im offering them to you at a marked down price of $1 for 1 point, if you are serious about making it to the top but cant beat the best at the local outlaw this is your opportunity to get a head.

first in best dressed. 987 points up for grabs, you can have them all for the right price.

IGSA POINTS also available, you can have my current 14th place and 1500 points for around $5 a point and the low low price of $3000 for all of them.

jacko no reply

Murrah, I'm pretty sure he's not online, or doesn't care. either way I'm fairly sure Jacko is referring to the guys who attacked him and other skaters physically and verbally threatened them.

I had no prior knowledge of the assault happening. I also didn't say it in reference to the whole sponsorship blowup. I didn't know about that either.

I find it pretty callous though to put a blanket insult over everyone associated with that event when by the sound of it was only 1 person who assaulted him. The same as I dislike narrow minded people who vilify skateboarders and say they are all delinquents and losers.

Honestly I don't care about sponsorship. My concern lies with the attitude younger skaters will take on. This was the basis of my comment.

Comments like the one he made don't really support the case.

Jacko has pretty good reasons for having that opinion. He was violently assaulted, for no reason, by one of the organisers of this event. I was there, I saw it. And then one of the people associated with the event organisers rang Jacko's sponsor and tried to convince them to drop him for being "a bad role model". The sponsor sensibly rang around to get some more opinions, and realised the real story.

Jacko never did anything to fight back, and was a model of calmness, maturity and restraint. Calling these people scumbags shows he hasn't forgotten though.

with statements like that i can understand why someone could get pissed enough to hit him. but thats between him and those skaters not all luges so he shouldnt make dumb statements without using his brain..this whole us and them thing is just shit

Well Murrah, Stop stirring the pot. Looks like you want to argue

We have done this argument many times over.

What Jacko said was a throw away comment. I could see myself saying the same in his position.

If you think this us and them mentality is shit, stop perpetuating it. Go enjoy your Saturday night. :-)

just not into uncalled for comments

only one person assaulted Jacko, but others were assaulted and threatened, almost all the skaters were "disqualified" but when the organisers realised that they would lose money, Trav was "banned" from the event as a scape goat instead.

the whole this was very stupid and has left a bad taste in many skaters mouths considering the the original "bomb the snowies" was a free ride in the snowies organised by skaters.

anyway I feel that we have had this out enough and can move back to the business at hand, I would love to buy some points off you. pm me Rob.

Rob, this started out as such a good topic, but unfortunately it has gone "downhill".

I was hoping you would have some spare slalom points, but I suspect Boomer already got in first.

As to the grumpiness invading this topic....

And without referring to your chosen riding style......

Seriously some of you really do need to drop a Bex and have a good lie down!

Thank God the paralympics are on.

We can all watch Aussies kick arse in the murder ball!

We should invite some of those guys to a ditch or a downhill session, I reckon some of them could rip it up.

Those who weren't there have no right to comment on The situation. However owen is right, I don't care. Reply wasn't posted coz I'm busy enjoying life. I suggest most of u do the same.

Not sure how people would think im calling then scumbags when they weren't even there? I was there, so by that theory Im calling myself a scumbag. Remember I did not make any reference to riding discipline, you guys just did that on your own
