Hi Jack. Have to catch up for a skate soon.
Where have you been riding lately ?
We'll try to get some more slalom days happening
down your way if your keen. Maybe a drain skate soon too.
HA sweet... free shit is the best!
Yeah after hearing about the points thing it put me over the line to become an ASRA member, seems well worth it, now with hop doing this to support members!
yes but no, there is a site in progress but there is no boards available now or before the new year, check out raynes line of boards if you were looking for something soon.
rayne hustler with bear grizzleys and o-tang stimulus 83a. its got flex so you can pump around on it and coz its drop-thru you can bomb some hills on it. Now coz its got that flex its not a full-on downhill board and should not be primarily used as a full-on racing board but you can sure bomb some gnar on it
omni with prandals and zigs/flywheels/amazingly coned durians like 68mm
thats a pretty solid effort with the zigs if you do it to all the wheels you've got yourself some freerides
but i'm looking at getting a drop speed so might get rid of the omni
We should meet up and skate it one day im heaps keen wats the traffic like and wat is the rough speeds that u are getting aroud there..and how long is the run.
Great to hear dude.
Doing DH and slalom actually helps each other. You'll become a really good rider that way.
Practice your sliding and footbraking. Practice your sliding on cheap ass wheels. Keep your zigs for that grippy ride everyone loves.
Do you have slide gloves?
Forgot to say,
Keep the back truck locked up tight, and the front super loose.
I usually only adjust the back truck but it's so important to keep it tight. This will help stop you from high siding.
Oh dude! I really didn't want you to ride it until you banged the riser on. No drama, at least you learned an importantant lesson.
I've got enough boards so you can keep using that board as long as you like it.
I'd prefer you to keep riding the crap out of it rather than spending clams on another one. That was the whole point. Look after it for me though. It's such a good slalom board. Wide front, slight kick tail, very light weight and stiff so you can pump up heaps of power.
If you get good enough you won't need to buy new boards or anything yourself.
Maybe you'll get sponsored? Who knows.
Anyways, give your best and if it's not your thing then you got nothing to loose. If you're going to the Hop shop I recommend you buy some top shelf bushes for the front truck. Talk to Robbo. They've got a stack load of Venoms.
It's fun to look around the shop too. He has so much cool stuff.
