B-Rad and Haggy Share the Spoils

The 2010 Australian Slalom Series kicked off on the weekend with a double-header, with B-Rad Pearson dominating in the ditch, and Haggy Strom returning from the wilderness to take out the head-to-head slalom. B-Rad and Nathan Paff share the overall lead on a crowded list, with only two points separating the top four.

Kincumber Ditch

NACCOS riders swept the podium at Kincumber. Traditional Kincumber master Glen Mills took second, with Ben Hay close behind in third. Steve Daddow from Queensland got fourth, with Sydneysider Dave "Robbo" Robertson taking fifth.

Sidonia Head-to-Head

Less than 24 hours after flying in from an extended stay on the streets of Papua New Guinea, Haggy Strom cruised through each of his heats to return to the winner's podium after a lean period that followed his domination of the early years of the Conehead Cup. Nathan Paff could not get close in the final, finishing more than 1.6 seconds away despite qualifying fastest earlier in the day. Paul Shaddock took out Paul Carey in the consolation final.

A great way to finish at Sids with some very tight head to head. Hard tight course as it should be. Haggy showing how to clean it.
Props to all the travellers who came from near and very far.
Leah thanks for doing times - i cant even see those numbers - a pressure job once they all start crowding.
Thanks to Robbo for the plumb line and Judge, Nathan and PC for being in the second line cone setting sortie to the front line - nearly hurt locker several times.
Props to the shirt man and the zen barbie master! - Jasper really liked that snag.
Great event - fine finish to the temple of tight.
We were so lucky with the weather - rain went all around us.
