Lucas, we need to get you doing slalom before you start spending too much.

Get to Allawah on 17th March.  There will be plenty of boards for you to try, and some serious slalom nerds (they all know who they are!) to help you with understanding the types of equipment used, and the mystery of the Pump
(or if I could get there ...the un-pump!).

You will get far more value out of being there....than posting here!

As to what deck is appropriate.....
there are some here that used to smoke everyone else on reshaped paddle pops!

Hey so i talked to scott the guy at subsonic he was saying that we could customise that board and even add foam to make it lighter and all. if any one is interested

so i was looking u can customise the board a lot. You can add a composite layer of either carbon fiber or fiber glass and also a layer of Texalium.  If you choose to buy a complete board shipping comes out to be 85 bucks, however if you get just the deck shipping comes down to 69 bucks. If any one eles was wanting a board we could talk about splitting the shipping.

I've loved looking at the subsonic site as i have toyed with the idea of a pulse LDP (decided there are too many dogs around where i live to do LDP) but I've never noticed that board. He has it listed under kick tail boards which I guess I never clicked. It looks a better slalom shape than the one listed in the slalom section. Yeah let us know if you get a shipping quote.

P.S.

Make sure you go for flex 3.

Contrary to popular belief, flex in a slalom board doesn't help pump. If anything it wastes energy you're trying to get to the wheels.

That's a copy of a proven killer board, The Pavel Roadster.

It's actually an improvement aswell with the wedge block on the tail.

Subsonic have been around for a while now and make very well designed, top shelf quality boards.

If shipping is reasonable I say buy it.

Looks like a good board , you could set it up for a few types of style, price is ok , how much for postage
