Good on ya Mick. That is a good date to have it, schools being out should get lots of groms! I might not make this one as I'll be in Adelaide with mother in law problems. (might have Christmas holiday ditch slalom in the Holden Hill Snake instead).

17th is good for me.

18th is no good.

Pardon the pun... but the wheels are in motion. General consensus on the date but we  were under the impression that the 17th was locked in

Raining in Sydney and all the Slalomers on on ASRA tonight! Bugs that seems fine for the rankings.

I also think we have enough events this year to call it a CHC series and work out winners using the exclude worst 2 (or was it 3) races system. Thoughts?

Also any BMBs want to firm up the last pump station event?

The rankings will be perpetual, and always include only the preceding 12 months.

If there is a max number of races to be set I'd like to keep it high to encourage more people to put on races.

Would the ranking be perpetual or just worked out per calandar year? If it is per year and not just your last seven races then seven is too high and it just keeps the racer with the most frequent flyer points on top. There might only be 7 or 8 races included this year total.

I don't think four races per year is too low even if it gives Sydney based racers a slight advantage.

By the way thanks for all your work on this Bugs.

Silverlight sucks but i must have had it on my work computer already.

if mt keira is to be closed off for downhill racing any chance of a sneaky SGS event? or aren't there enough cones in the country for a course that long? it would be rad to see some international guys like ramon and zak maytum charging the cones if they were out for newtons

Yep, it's doable - MAX function indeed.

But a system of bonus points for people who travel would require knowing where they live, and knowing where each race is, and having some system of weighting for travelling various distances, or a threshold distance that must be travelled. Way too hard to keep track of for me.

Bugs, that idea is workable. Can you build a worksheet that selects the best seven results for each racer? (MAX function possibly). The only thing that I can think of adding to it is bonus points for racers that compete outside their home state, rather than racking up points from 100% home events, as an extra incentive to promote a national comp.
