both are in the states
i wish there was stuff like that closer to brisbane
isnt grom biz an aussie company???
Well if you mean that the dude is Australian then yes. If your asking is he present in the aussie market, sessions, events or even the Australian Skateboard Racing Association........ then no. He is as Yankee doodle as Rayne or Chuck Norris.
well , this post was just supposed to be about cool hills , but... while im here .....
I beleive he asked if grombiz was an aussie company ? it is .
as to being involved in the aussie market , they sold over 1000 cll's in oz( so yeewah some people hate them , big deal , alot of people love them ) , they have plans to bring out other products on the aussie market .
Ben got so much negative feeback and lack off support from aussies not willing to try new things , constantly copping crap he moved his eyes to the american market , and that seems to be going quite well , so im sure when hes in a position and has tested hes new products they will be available here.
Give the guy a break , is he supposed to be a mother teresa of skateboarding or something ?caring about everyone and being everywhere ?? hes just a dude that has got some good ideas and is doin hes thing .
If people in australia started to show a little more interest and stopping bagging the crap out of him he's products would probably already be available here, ever heard of the supply/demand ? no demand in australia , thats why its goin good in the states , i could go on and on and on , but would be no point !!!
Mate dont take this personally , just show some respect
Ben personally met me a few weeks ago on the goldy , i only wanted some more bushings for my c2's , he could have told me to order them from the store , but he went out of his way to give them to me personally , and even gave me he's new duro ones out of his own deck and then walked home , id call that present in the market!!!
how about hoping he comes up with something good and wishing him the best , he is australian,,,
yeah ya got me on chuck norris hahaha , but i thought yankee doodle was referring to americans ? isnt rayne canadian ?
aNYWAYS rip it up and have fun everyone :)

I'd support aussie in a second if I thought it was a comparable product.
But I've seen way too many exploded C2 bushings to call it a comparable product.

They're so close to being the best truck ever
and yet they fall over so hard I'd never recommend them to anyone.

another few generations and it might rule though, so don't write them off just yet.
They ain't going to do it without making new molds though. you just can't make a bushing work there-
while he's at it he could double the angle options without adding extra holes too...
Dude, I never said he was a nasty guy or that his product was shit. I have never skated scribe trucks so I cant tell you if I like them or not. I didn't personally attack him, didn;t call him an asshole, sellout or any such things.

I believe for a product to be "Australian" it needs to be in the Australian scene. I didn't see him in the blue mountains, Woolongong, Sydney or the snowy mountains. I haven;t seen him at any of the conehead cup races and I haven't seen him on the Australian Skateboard Racing Association website or members list. For someone marketing an Aussie product he is vacant in the Aussie market.

If he can sell his product overseas successfully then more power to him. I am not the squasher of dreams and like you said he may be onto something really great with what he is doing. But he is not apart of the Australian downhill scene.
fair enough :)

i have used the C2's....i was sent a set of the protos and was frequently recieving updated bushings.
by the time i stopped using these trucks i'd recieved about 5/6 sets of bushings and killed probably half.
i just wouldnt put money down for them...i just don't trust them.

as for the 1000 c11's....yeah, well...sector sells probably double that (or did) even in the australian market...so does that make them a company supporting aussies? no....and i think becuase your new to this particular little click you've missed something important. Grombiz put up big money to be a sponsor of Maryhill last year, good on him...but it DID piss people off here who are trying to set up races and event that a "true blue" company went to the US and supported their scene...not his.

and before you get into the " oh, but its all about the market exposure..."thankyou, i understand marketing quite well- being self employed teaches you a thing or two about selling your ideas.

"If people in australia started to show a little more interest and stopping bagging the crap out of him he's products would probably already be available here"
....i still believe that his product is about 2 generations away from being truly cool....but as it stands....i couldn't put down the money he wants for those trucks.

don't mean to sound like i'm getting my e-rag on you but seriously: those who live in glass houses....etc etc etc...
Of course it doesn't make them (Sector 9) an Australian company. they are not at races, meetups, free rides etc. etc.
Even if they were it wouldn't make them an Australian company, but it does make them apart of the Australian skate scene.
