I am just wanting to know if the Landyachtz Dropwedge is a good downhill board for a beginner?

if your small, then yeah, it would work, but if your average to tall i wouldnt bother. the standing platform is pretty tiny. from pictures i thought it would be bigger, but then i had a rid of joe's and was really surprised at how little room you have.
I reckon its a great board. I love mine. Lighter than my JimZ, shorter wheelbase, but its nice and agile.

Jacko stood on it and didnt like the narrowed down back,... but I think it all boils down to what you are used to.
Ive had it up to 60, and I sure love it in garages too.
I would say its a great beginner downhill board, it was my first proper board.
The wedged nose makes it good for fast carves but can still handle the speeds on downhill.
But indeed like Ash and matty said the back platform is a bit small for comfort.
I know run my dropwedge topmounted on randals for super fast carving and pumping.
What's up with you?

thats hardly even accepted at silverfish anymore, why bring it here?
i wouldnt get it personally it is very small and im only 5'10', u could do alot better for a first downhill board and being a first downhill board it is good to get something that would also allow you to learn to slide, corner and smash up a bit

What about an OMNI Drop 43?
Yeah Id have to agree about the smashes it will possibly get.
Mine hasnt had a real smash, but I reckon the nose wont take a hell of a hit.
Whatever,... I still love mine..... AND I love the tapered back. The board has its own character, and Im quite comfortable on it.

Omni is a great option,... youve got one have you A-Drain??
rayne hustler?

Only about 10 but they are a great cheap beginners board that it doesn't matter if you smash it into curbs, etc.
