i had the idea of trying to find some really cheap sliding wheels... when i say cheap, i mean less that 20 bucks a set.
i have proved to my self that while they are really good, they wear out in like 2 sessions or less.
here is my photo evidence of the experiment

this red set cost me $10 and are made from pvc i think. they lasted about 2 or 3 sessions of intense sliding before finally dieing from a really fast speed check.

this black set of transformer wheels were my favourite but melted doing a coleman pendulum that lasted for 20 meters.

this white set of skate wheels from my friends trick deck got demolished in 2 sessions. i flat spotted the in one slide then on a consecutive slide i ripped the urethane skin off.

conclusion: i should probably get a new set of sliding wheels... suggestions?

earthwing slide a, trust me you will feel the difference after sliding on wheels like that. Will not wear quick like them and slide like butter.
i have a set of the pvc wheels, lasted me one good layback at the conehead cup in melbourne. personally dude i like powl pool bombers when you can get them cheap, i got some alva 101a's that used to be wide and i have shaved down and have lasted me for ever, they felt like crap till i shaved them and now wont core, they started at 60mm and are no 20 after about 2 years of sliding and bowl riding, no flatspots either
Rainskate avalanches get good reviews.

I gave out some proto slide wheels but never got any feedback. If you want to do some proto testing I'll send you a set next time get more in. Gotta let me know if they are any good. Send me you details on the hopkin contact page
. Dont forget to put your address in the message section.

Do u guys actually do any hard wheel sliding? If anyone should do any prototype hard wheel testing, it should be those that have been doing the sport for a while and can give proper reviews.
hop that sounds fairly good, i slide some avalanches a little while ago and just wasnt feeling how wide they are, i am hoping rainskates work out that stingers are a good shape for sliding they just have to go harder in terms of duro, i found that avalanches broke out easy and where good for check slides and slides where your throwing alot of power into them ie laybacks, checkslides, colemans, blunts etc, but when you wanted to get really spinny and throw spins around the 1080 mark it took alot more work then something like a pool bomber or a sergio, uprights are a dream on them though, you can throw upright 360 till you get sick from all the spinning, if they got them narrow it would be interesting to see if they could get enough lock up and feel while still being able to put them in cicrles in surrender slides like there is no tomorrow
