na tried that. sabers have a much better feel
i dont know what the hell bear were thinking when they came up with the hybrids..
basically the only help a precision truck gives is a perfectly straight true precise axle, a perfectly cut bushing seat, and perfect alignment with the pivot.
bear hybrids give NONE of these...
absolutely pointless...
get caliber 44s or the new gunmetal v2s....
get the new gunmetal v2s....
the problems i've seen with cast trucks is due to kingpin or pivot point being drilled off center leaving everything out of whack, all my randall hangers that dont sit square on randall baseplates sit true and flush when dropped into my kooky baseplates, I have sent trackers and gullwings and randalls back to shops over the years because of this issue, all due to the baseplates.
if i could find some 45 degree hybrids here in oz i'd grab em.
bears are not too bad. I wanted a set of the 45degree hybrids which I think would be the pick of the bunch. Ive tried both the 40's and the 52's in the cast and both are not bad but the 45's would be spot on esp for speed.
the old gunmetals - v1s are absolute poo
they really stepped up their game and made a good truck - the v2s
buying a baseplate and a hanger separate is cheaper than the complete truck, I wonder why that is?
oh shit, it is $350 for a pair I guess.... lol
