DECENT HARDWARE BOARD BAGS

the board bags that you guys are asking about on the charlie forum are made by johnno a pommy skater who was recently over here in oz . they are made in bali by a family company that specilises in heavy duty surfboard bags who johnno stayed with for a while.
johnno stayed with me and boomer while on the coast and boomer is distributing the bags in oz
give him a pm these bags are the real thing

I asked boomer if he could get 44" body bags in. They do make em.

I ordered an orange park bag from Boomerdog and got in the mail yesterday, stoked! It's the first time i've had a close look at it and i like it! Very prompt and attentive service from Boomerdog as well. Thanks dude!

I think Jacko has some good points. If you basically offered the park bag in a 44" version people would be into it for sure. One of the problems with having the park bag extended all the time, as the downhill dudes do, is that the extension part isn't padded like the rest of the bag.

All in all, tho a very competitive price for a skate-specific bag. heaps of pockets and straps. Even came with an extra strap the purpose of which I am unsure. I'll probably figure it out, ha!

I like my park bag too.
My guess is the extra strap is the waistband for when you wear it as a backpack.

put wheels on the bottom (like a golf bag), make it less than $100 and you have urself a deal... Coz i just got myself a sick golf bag that caters for all my DH traveling needs and offers a lot of space for extra gear along the way...

China, Golf, mass production, huge market, no concern for workers wages, large scale shipping - less than $100, easy.
Bali, skateboarding, individual production, small market, good pay for good quality, small scale shipping - less than $100...

yeah true i didnt see it that way. ok i change what i said....

Put wheels on the bottom (like a golf bag) make it AN AFFORDABLE PRICE and you have yourself a deal... (not saying your prices arent affordable im just changing my previous sentance)
i would much rather support the skate industry and allow companies like this to grow... i realize the thought of having such a product for such a small amount is pretty unlikely but hey we can all dream can't we?
If you want help in designing such a bag let me know, i know exactly what i need and im sure that could cater to a lot of downhill skateboarders world wide. There is a market here ready to be cracked...

I hope I didn't sound arsey, I just get a lot of 'Oh I got a snowboard bag on eBay for £30' in my UK/US correspondence (not Europe though, they just say thanks and it was worth it!) and it is hard to keep explaining the realities of modern day production! It costs $65 USD for me to post 1 bag to England...Never mind the cost of the product!

I would love to make the actual bag you need, please contact me on decenthardware@gmail.com with your suggestions, if I can make exactly what is needed and ship a good number at once (cargo) then I can sell at a lower price.

And yes, the extra straps are to attach to the D rings and use as a waist band to take the weight of your shoulders or keep it stable on a bike. All new extendable bags have a zip away pocket for the straps now, so no flapping about. Trying to evolve and improve!

I had Jonno make me a custom bag to fit my luge and it turned out perfect, everything fits in snug and it's tough as nails. As the label says - 100% sweat shop free.

Keep it in the family i say.
