haha, too right bernie. it's a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
'jenny' is driving along when she see's the big bad skateboarders playing chicken with cars and stealing peoples lunch money, being the upstanding citizen she is, she hangs up on the friend she was talking to, takes the phone away from her ear, takes her eyes off the road to search for her camera application, takes the photo, checks the quality, deletes it, takes another one.
who's deserves the punishment? the skateboarders wearing full protective clothing, practising their sport of choice which they are very good at, or the lady fumbling around with her phone, taking her eyes off the road and breaking rules which have been created because of the deaths that phones have caused on the road, putting herself, oncoming traffic AND the skateboarders live's in danger?

I put that comment on the Mercury site, and the moderator did not let it run.
Seems that Mercury is OK with abusing road some of the rules to get a story.

My comment was also along the lines of them having the evidence and the name and contact details of a woman driving a 2 ton car down what the paper claims is a treacherous piece of rd with one hand while taking photos with her phone so she could be the star of a one day story in a local tabloid paper yet the cop doesn't seem to care about that

fuck thats a funny report, so stupid. read all the comments after it most people are cool with it the rest of the fool are probably just old farts having a spew. its all just 1-day news laugh it off... all they can charge is $54 so lets go hit it again. Hopefully next time we get more media attention (good or bad its all good) and can get people more aware of the sport and get the pricks to build us downhill parks, coz we're gonna keep ripping it down these hills and by the looks of how the boys are riding these days its just gonna get faster and faster!
by the way jenny, if your keeping up with us your speeding, and i think thats illegal, let alone using your phone to take pictures WHILE speeding... idiot. whos the dangerous one now?

I'm so stoked that none of the photo's showed anyone riding in the wrong lane, breaking the speed limit or riding 2 abreast.
Considering all those gay fags wearing lycra (yeah thats safe) ride 3 and 4 abreast taking up a whole lane doing it all the time with gang mentality on road bikes.
Don't get me wrong I'm a cyclist but those pricks have cut me off more than once while I was riding my bike by myself.
When I drive past them in my car I close my eyes for 5 seconds and hope they make the mistake of getting infront of me.
Keep skating guys but most importantly stay in your lane. I've had more than one occasion where being in my lane (only just) has saved my life on blind corners.
