been trying to come up with a board thats 100% aussie to set up and ride at newtons, any ideas if its even possable? when i say 100% i am willing to miss the bushings but thats it, these are the componets i am looking at so far (note this is only if i get hired as a camera man)
Glyde or early deck
Kooky trucks
wheels (no idea)
bearings - ceramics from my local bearing shop.

are there any aussie wheels out there ?

not sure where the early blueballs and stickys are made but they could be?
Theres the Cortec Slalom wheels if anyones still got a set they are willing to sell to ya.
Maybe A-Drains still got a set.
ok, so that will just about do me, i forgot that early makes wheels, are they any good?
I've got a set of 68mm cortec 75? 85a split, they're in good nik but they're pushing too-small for kooks IMO. Force tucks don't count, they're made in china.
I think ado has some silverbacks, but they're pretty narrow if memory serves me.
good luck finding the 76mm slalom shape, he didn't make many. : )

there's a bearing co' in north Tas, no idea if they make 608's though...
but the Early wheels are rad,oz owned,.white are insane for pre-drifts,slides n shit..B-rad ravin about em,and rippin on em.
i will settle for aussie owned i know how hard its going to be to find something thats 100% aussie made and owned and constructed from enviromentaly sustainable materials (my dream is to make that) but right now running a deck that proves that aussie gear is seccond to none would be amazing
will be plenty of glyde decks at newtons...and are second to none
Fitz cuts bushings out of old wheels, so that's semi-Australian made. I think Old School Ritchie in Newcastle actually pours bushings himself, but he concentrates on really soft ones for kids and himself.
How about the nuts and bolts?
griptape?
um sean, i thought freebord is sponsoring your wheels.
Fendy after riding some slashers on the evo and trying to corner at 50 on them i dont think i want free wheels that much i wont touch them at newtons due to the sheer lack of grip at speed they have. Also a 100% aussie complete would just be plain cool
They may be slippery especially on a board like the Evo. Try the slashers on a top mount and see if they grip better.

The other thing is , yeah I agree with Steve about the Coretec 68mm wheels being really too small to run on Kookies,... but maybe on a road like Mt Pano you will be OK. Shame he didnt make the 76mm,... I remember seeing pics.
