Cheapest and easiest is to get an electric train from sydney terminal which goes over the blue mtns all the way to lithgow and terminates.
You can also get on at strathfield and penrith however syd terminal is easier because it starts there and you aren't in a ruush to get on.
Once you get to lithgow you will get onto a connecting bus to bathurst for the final 60km trek.
Tickets can be purchased through countrylink aswell. The xpt is the only direct train route to bathurst. Its at least an hr quicker but costs more.
Flights go direct to bathurst however the airport is a long way out of town and you may need to pay extra for a shuttle bus to get you into town.
Once we get closer to the event we're gonna start up a thread so we can car pool to save money on petrol.
Its about a 3hr drive from sydney by car. This is way more enjoyable because you get to see the gnar hill runs on the way there.
Easiest way is one of these
This was my chartered plane I had for Newton's last year. Mick, Hop, Scott.
The best thing about having a plane on the runway at Bathurst is if you leave something at home you can go back and get it.
Taxiing down the runway at Bathurst, ... I was going back home to get my skate tool.

The pilot wouldn't let me buzz Mt Panorama on the way home. He said he didn't have clearance, I think he just wanted to go home. The funny thing, it takes longer to drive to the airport than it does to fly to Bathurst.
It is the only way to go - awesome view.
