Slide pucks for sale aka, Buy my stuff so i can buy yours.

Hi all,
I'm not an expert but i've just cut up some UHMWPE,
which means its a polyethylene, (like cutting board) but its as hard as hard can be,
before you start gettin into nylon blends. You cant cut it with a hand saw you need an
electrical saw or router.
I've beveled the edges app 10mm down at 45deg.

Three sets, sizes as in the pic, weight, in order top to bottom, 430g, 365g, 340g,

$12 a set, pick up in melb or
$8 express post satchel, or
2 or 3 sets into a $11 express post satchel.
If your intrested or need more info just ask.
Wayne.

NICE
maaan that's a thick puck isn't it? they look reeeaallly nice though, how'd you bevel the edges?

on a happy note, i learnt how to coleman just then =D spent about 40 minutes on it =D
I actually like that round puck you got going on in the other pic (i'm a sucker for symmetry).
are they finger or palm pucks?
finger

I'll take a set of the biggest ones. Can I pick them up in Melbourne at CC#3?

If you're gonna make more I reckon palm pucks in a disk shape, with a 90mm diameter and 20mm thick would be ideal.
Dale,
25mm pretty thick take a sheeetload of slides to ever get thru it, beveled them with a hand plane,
not an electric one.

Jacko,
You can stick em where you like.................palm or finger, just took the photo with them on the fingers.
i'm not an expert in slidein yet so i cut the teardrop shapes for my palms and round pucks for the fingers.

Gilbert,
I gave some round pucks too Fendy the other week, dont know if he's used them yet?
I've cut some oval type pucks for fingers, they look nice mmmmmm......put the snaps up tomorrow.
Wayne.
yeah i saw that he had some nice thick round pucks on his gloves, must be the one's you made. If you decide to make more round pucks i might get them off you.
the problem with the teardrop puck is you can't rotate for even wear. so its better to stick with the round or square pucks from experience.

also have you played around with the other well known materials, Delrin and Corian? cos the wear is amazing apparently and they both slide like butter. no one else seems to be experimenting with any of that stuff in Australia. I'm going to get some Corian to do my own testing, so I'll let you know what I think of it.
yeah i did actually request some samples from that site. are they the same samples you said were too small for palm pucks?
nice pucks bear! saw the ones you made for fendy the other week sweet :)

yeah i use corian tiles for my slide gloves. i dont have very big hands so its works fine for me. plus they're free
Get some 50mm velcro strip and some QuickGrip glue

1. Cut velcro strips in the shape of puck and shape of hand or finger.
2. Apply quick grip glue to puck, velcro for puck, velcro for glove, and glove. Wait 30 mins for glue to partially dry.
3. Stick velcro on glove and velcro on puck
4. Position puck on glove and vice or clamp together for 24hrs to allow glue to fully dry.

note: make sure you use the loop velcro on the glove and the hook velcro on the puck
