Jacko's new Hellcat

Jacko asked me to set up his new Hellcat this weekend. He was hoping to ride it at Queensland but the Easter Bunny could not deliver. But it is all ready to go for pumpstation.
Note the special wheels. I have got different duros front and back for speed and grip. Front are super hard chalk loose ball bearing wheels. And on the back for grip are 99p suregrip blues, the special composite ones, using new fangled urethane. The duro is somewhere between rock and granite. Jacko does not have to bang his gloves together to tell people he is coming through, the loose ball bearing will notify everyone. That loud whirl of loose ball bearings ... telling everyone that skater dude coming through.

Jacko - my advice is stay away from crack.

i dont think the new concave will alter anything at speed really, it was designed to be more of a hybrid of downhill and free riding... the wave-cave was designed for slides and all that jazz. Any DH board goes good at speed really thats what they r designed to do i just rate boards on their free-ride capabilities, because that can alter the way you tackle corners and stuff while doing downhill

Ok so ive been throwing this baby around the past few days and i cant stop riding it. So far ive got it set up with Kooky 190mm trucks and the o-tang free ride wheels 75mm 80a and this thing rides like a dream. The main thing i wanted out of this board was a downhill board that could also be a good free riding board that likes to slash around and can slide easily, now the thing is with mixing those two types of riding together is the weight issue... Having a solid downhill deck coupled with Precision trucks is a heavy mix, and thats something ive hated about trying to free ride my downhill boards. it is much easier to slide the tail out and slash about on a lighter board, however i think i may have found a weapon that is still highly maneuverable considering the weight factor. This is where the construction of the board and the new 'wave cave' comes into play. Being made of mostly bamboo the weight of the board is dropped significantly so there's one helping factor, and the big riding platform gives you a lot of room to use, but it doesnt feel like a tank, such as the demonseed platform does.
The 'w' shaped concave really gives you a good lock in on the feet when carving and sliding. At first it was really hard to notice coz it is very light where your feet are but after throwing this bad boy around a few times on the way home from work in the past few days has opened my eyes to its capabilities. My feet feel really locked in and aren't moving around at all which gives me a lot of control over sliding, and makes it a lot easier to slide from switch back to regular. also with drifting corners it eliminates the need for 'shuffling' your toes over to the edge of the rail to really control the tail while sliding through corners, seeing as your toe is already locked into the groove of the wave-cave it gives you an 'extra rail' to push against while drifting toe-side corners. This is a big advantage if you come up against two tight corners back to back as you wont need to shuffle your back foot from one side of the board to the other. Also that grove where my back foot sits in gives me a real good indication of where my foot actually is when im in my tuck position, seeing as there is no 'gas pedal' to lock your foot against this works really well because it gives you the confidence that your foot is sitting in the right position, so you can get comfortable in your tuck.
So far thats all the feedback i have on this board, and i think Rayne has really got something good and innovative going on. Hopefully i'll get some photos/vids done over the weekend and post some stuff up. At the moment im thinking this is the most versatile dh/freeride board in my quiver...

im gonna get the helly and what wheels do u reckon would be best for downhill and sliding because the lime zigs feel a tiny bit too grippy for sliding.
