speed wobbles, dont really come from trucks, but try tighten your trucks, or put new washers in
they come from your stance or tuck, try stand closer to your front truck in your stance.

if you get wobbles, DONT grab your board, but stand up out of tuck slowly (so dont spring up). either get balance, to ride them out but how usually fast they are, try footbrake.

Concentrate and dont make any sudden movements.
Calm down take a breathe and tuck.

Try getting over your front truck more .
If it becomes to much you can slow down by airbreaking.

tuck harder

keep weight on front (or put more on) while making sure that you aren't tensing up

mainly just skate more to develop tolerance for speed, no easy way around it

airbraking?

Like what ian said.

Putting your hands out helps you to not only balance but to create a higher surface area for wind resistance to slow you down.

Build up core and leg strength. Vibrations will build up if you can't damp them down with fine control while keeping your body balanced.

Any wobble issues I have I can trace back to poor fitness and muscle tone....

there are no such thing as wobbles, u will only wobble if u think u will wobble...

Go to Cams School its free and you will be a better skater when you leave.

Check events page for next one coming up soon.

Apologies to Douglas Adams

There is an art, it says, or rather, a knack to curing the wobbles. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at a steep hill and miss. Pick a nice day, [The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy] suggests, and try it.

The first part is easy. All it requires is simply the ability to throw yourself forward with all your weight, and the willingness not to mind that it's going to hurt. That is, it's going to hurt if you fail to miss stopping the wobbles.

Clearly, it is the second part, the wobbles, which presents the difficulties.

One problem is that you have to stop the wobbles accidentally. It's no good deliberately intending to stop the wobbles because you won't. You have to have your attention suddenly distracted by something else when you're halfway there, so that you are no longer thinking about wobbling, or about the ground, or about how much it's going to hurt if you fail to stop wobbling.

It is notoriously difficult to prize your attention away from these three things during the split second you have at your disposal. Hence most people's failure, and their eventual disillusionment with this exhilarating and spectacular sport.

If, however, you are lucky enough to have your attention momentarily distracted at the crucial moment by, say, a gorgeous pair of legs or a bomb going off in your vicinty, or by suddenly spotting an extremely rare species of beetle crawling along a nearby twig, then in your astonishment you will stop the wobbles completely and remain skating along in what might seem to be a slightly foolish manner.

Do not look at your feet, and don't go faster than what you are comfortable with!

and remember, speed wobbles don't exist!

Place more weight over the front . If that fails punch yourself in the head hard while wobbling. The wobs tend to be a mental thing but it can be lessened with a equipment tune. Confidence is the j
Key.
