Good to hear that Robbo.
Were keen to organize a legit event on the coast this year as part of the slalom series.
Were you thinking of a new name for the series this year ? Or keeping the CHC tittle.
Boyd & I have talked about trying to use Mt Penang events park. Would mean a proposal, insurance, & good
promotion etc.
But it would be great exposure for skateboard racing in general.
Can you give us an idea of what ASRA has planned, so we can start the ball rolling.

What are the thoughts on changing the CHC? Numbers wise the 2010 series looked pretty successful. Name change maybe but it's been the cone head cup for so long maybe were stuck with it.
Anyone up for a preseason event in Sydney some time in January?

Mark, Mid january might be OK, but ther are a few events at the end.
MOTH - Sun 23rd Jan
Bar Beach Skatepark opening (Newcastle) - Sat 29th Jan
We were thinking of doing another Drainos Festivos in Jan too.
This would mean Sat 16th is the only day we could run it.
Might have to leave it till early to mid Feb for the drain event. ???
What did you have in mind for a slalom venue in Sydney ?
Church of slalom lives.
The CHC is a great name. But if we're looking at legit events, dealing wth Councils, media, sponsors
etc, it might be an idea to look at other naming options.

Slalom Masters , Australian Cup of Slalom ACS series , are there any cool slalom comp names overseas we can steal and just add the word Australia in it somewhere???

Are we able to tie the Melbourne leg on the Sunday of the same weeked they run Mossjam , Is it possible to have one on the Sunday at Newcastle the day after CAOS on the Saturday , lot easier to build numbers and hit more than one event if your interested,potentially bring in new participants that might not have travelled specifically for a slalom event...

melbourne super G would be awesome, I think it would definently get alot more groms keen to do it as its something that 90% of them could run with their current setup's, maybe a twilight fitzroy gardens race would be worth running, regardless i think it would be cool to get something going on that dont require a slalom specific board

Yeah Paul the calendar fills up quick! I might just put a call out for Church of Slalom in the next few weeks. Or might get out to the old Olympic Park P5 for an evening session at some point too
I hope to get up for the next one at Kincumber.

Yeah Sean the Superish G at the pumpstation worked great. I would say just put it on along with the next Melbourne slalom race but twilight in Melbourne in June might not be great. Just put it on for summer anyway, cones, a timer and some stationary and your away!
