Hey guys,
Just got my vendetta today and am pretty stoked. However, the problem I am having is that the venom bushings I got from hopkins a while ago don't quite seem to fit right into the bushing seats (paris 180s), and when I turn it makes a horrible (loud) squeaking noise and I can feel it rubbing quite severely, making for a very unpleasant ride. I notice that the venom bushings are maybe 0.5mm wider in diameter than the stock bushings.
Annoyingly I can't use the standard bushings because as soon as I tighten them past a certain point (not particularly tight) they cause the truck to not return to centre properly and stay steering to one side a bit as they are too squashed.Note I have tried both venoms and standards with both flat and cup washers, with the same results.
What should I do in this situation? Is this normal?
Thanks in advance, Jordan.

i had the same problem with my venoms and paris trucks, but i just started riding em for a few days and the squeaking wasnt tht annoying anymore and i just got used to it i suppose..
if you dont like the squeaking you could always add a lil bit of soap stuff on the bushing seat (grate the soap with the cheese grater, haha)..
dude well thats gnarly.
i run dh bushes. and my mate tom run supercarves.
i suppose you just got a shitty dud set
paris come standard with divine 88a bushings last i checked,
the squeaking is most likely coming from your pivot cup, soap will fix this.
the bushings will have more rebound after you wear them in a bit, they feel wierd straight out of the packet (stofter)
flat washers will also help the bushing turn more smoothly.
Brand new bushing come with a shiny oily coat on them. This causes the bushing to do fucked up shit in the bushing seat. It will make a popping noise usually. You can rub the ends on some light griptape or bitumen which will usually fix the problem. Or you can just boss it and ride that shit, it will come good after a while.
Best way i found to stop squeaking........just get some Lube and coat the bushings, seats, and the pivot cup.....

If your getting "squeek", it means the bushing is not sitting properly, and the action is being distorted. All lube or soap or similar does is cover up the problem by allowing "Slip" between the rubbing edges, creating noise.
The only way to get rid of the squeek, regardless of bushing shape or duro, is to "arris" or bevel the bottom egde, the edge that the cup receives, and allow the base to sit snuggly. Any other option is only going to give false response/action, and the full potential of the rest of the setup won't be realised. This goes for standup, luge...anything which requires lean activated steering.
