looks ok might be a bit heavy compared to a mtb full face or watever.. im using a freestyle motocross fullface and i love it
50 bucks is a good price too
yea thats what im scared of.. the weight.. but hte inside photo of the helmet shows alot of padding so the shell might be light i guess. Ill ask the seller for a weight.
it will be heavy, and a regular moto helmet isn't great for visibility
If your looking for a cheap helmet, check out cash converters.
I picked up an Rjays Missle 2, almost new condition for $39.
So id say you could pick up something good, for around that price.
Always check for major scratches and dints, incase its been in major crashes.
narrpp, nup, nup *shakes head*
So a big no no?
there are a few things you dont want to be tight on helmet is one. Dont waste your time pissin about with second hand helmets you simply dont know their history. Ther are good cheap helmets out htere bud look around. My first fullface was a netti invader cost me $60 brand new (mountain bike helmet) light and good visability.
I got my helmet today.
After reading heaps of the discussions about weight v safety v vision v audiobility i've settled for a very cool, very solid, very audiable Rjays avenger. Although the thing does weight 2800g which in my opinion is alot compared to my 420g Protec helmet but i feel as if it is much much much safer.

My review:
Viewing :
without helmet : 220 degreeish
with : 190 ish

The helmet doesnt sacrafice very much view for me. Those degrees are only peripheral and i can turn my head if i need to

Audiobility:
without : 100%?
with 80%

Sound becomes more damp, the helmet has cutouts within the 2inch thick foam.

ventalation
plenty of it.
11 along the base, 2 on the front top and 2 in the top back. total 15 plus a massive hole in the front :P

try it and you'll be amazed :P just stair at something in particular and see how far you can look back left and right
But wouldn't anything over 180 mean that you could see stuff that is behind you?

I'm pretty sure a human has just under 180 degrees field of vision
