ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Hey Guys.
Just thought that i would post this to just see what opinions you guys have.
Im pretty new to the whole "what boards and set-ups are good" and stuff like that, so im goona ask a couple of questions.
First of all, good SLIDING FULL SET-UPS? I just want to see what is good.
Second of all good DOWNHILL SPEEDBOARD FULL SET-UPS? Also to see opinions.
Thanks guys i just want to see the opinions of more experienced skaters that have been there and done that :)

:)
Yer well some people will but it all good :)
Just want to see whats hot and whats not!
Merrick is right.

You need to be more specific. If you want any downhill setup go to the "Your Dh Setup" Thread on silverfish.

The only answers you are going to get here, are the setups of skaters. Someone may prefer aeras, other kahas. some like randals, some like bears.

You already know what trucks are out there, what wheels, what deck, what bearings. Everyone's gonna have a different setup and preferences, no one board is the best out there.

Get a deck, wheels, trucks, bearings, bushings, bolts. this setup has one more races world wide than any other.
glyde boards are amazing at both!! just depends what your into, topmount, dropthru or drop down. then randals/paris/bears (what ever your into) and then go either some round lipped or some square lipped wheels... again, depends what your into.

for freeride and DH i prefer the glyde topmount with early blueys and randal 42 degrees. and just put some zigzags on for bomb.
Sliding, Gravity Brad Edwards, Gravity Sergio, Earthging Corchia, Earthwing Drifter, Earthwing Jailbird Earthwing Crewzer. Personally i like gullwing chargers, most earthwings are built around Indys and naturally you want to get Earthwing Slide a's. Any of those will be sick slide boards, the Corchia is the most hyped and popular
Yer guys im just putting it out there.
This doesnt mean im going to get what everyone tells me im just seeing opinions ay.
That MIKE helpfull as man!
i see its already been said to go to silverfish so ill leave that and give you my opinions:
sliding: do you mean tech sliding or freeriding? i have no clue about things like a rayne agent or those kind of boards but for freeride sliding i would go with a stiff deck decent concave and otang stims.

DH: stiff lots of concave and big sticky wheels. E.G. Killswitch topmount, Munkaes and some nersh 80a moneyhax. otherwise known as BIG80 minus 5.
Firstly, unless its REALLY fast freeride you usually want a bit of flex for pop out of turns.
Also you cant just go throwing massive wheels on something just because its for DH, many of the best downhill boards out there come close to wheelbite with 75mm wheels. E.G. Killswitch

thank you.

The hills you ride can assist on what board you go for, i have 2 DH boards, one for tech DH hills or easier runs that dont require as much stability or footbreak ability and one for everything else, For tech DH i run a top mount with 50 degree randal 180's and bennet alligators, Everything else i run an evo with 35 degree randals and Split duro big zigs
