Holes in leathers

i was wondering if there is any leather guru's out there with any special tips as how i wud go about fixing holes in leathers

Depends on the size of the hole, Tody. If it's a seam thats split, some "loop" stitches are the go, and then tape them. Some of the guys are using "hot glue", which works great if it's good quality glue, crap if it's not good quality. The downside of hot glue is if the leather is slightly old, the leather may tear along the glue line. If it's a hole in a flat panel of the leathers, go to a leather shop, get a peice big enough to cover the hole, loop stitch it into place and tape it.

i'm guessing its not the hot glue that i would use at school?? is it special leather glue?

Leather and contact cement is good, if you are going to use tape heat it up before you apply it and it will never come off. Henry's suit is held together like this is more tape then leather and it has never come off.

get real gaffa, nashua 357. the cheap stuff you get at big w will not work nearly as well, the glue is shit and the fabric weak.
real gaffa has excellent glue and is a lot thicker then imitation brands, it will hold up in a crash and last you a lot longer.
