ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

I Can't wait to swee some of the footage for the g-bikes. We didn't get any prize, trophy, stickers, or stubby holders. The least the crew from ASRA could do is put up a bit of footage. We don't ask for much but I think the finals should be posted at the very least.Surley somebody out there has some footage. I have pic's. maybe we could trade.

G bikers are people too! So if you don't like Asra and the schedule for newtons go start your own association and do the countless hours of prep work that goes into these things.

Have some respect and stop whinging and whining and generally leeching off an association that never had G bikes in mind when it started

Become full paid members then somebody might listen but seeing this is Australian Skateboard Racing Association , I doubt it
So what are you saying that a few g bikers are going to throw newtons into disarray rubbish.... I reckon they add colour and variety to the event.Wasn't so long ago that ASRA didn't exist and now we want to alienate people because their love of gravity isn't riding a skateboard. These guys spend countless hours on their bikes they have uploaded videos and contributed on this forum why not let them race. Come on guys i think we need to show a bit of love here.......
Nowhere did I say G bikers are going to throw Newtons into disarray, I don't know where you got that idea from?
ASRA has not set out to alienate anybody, There seems to be a general sense of entitlement floating around thats a little unsettling, people should be looking at what they can contribute not what they think they deserve. Guys spend countless hours building their cars so sending 4 Holden commodores down the track won't throw newton's into disarray either but that's not the point. ASRA does not pretend to represent everything that goes down a hill and if we did we would be scrubbing away for nothing in clubland forever. We have spent years of blood, building up ASRA and its kind of annoying hearing all this criticism and entitlement coming out of some sections of our community who have not contributed to that hard work. Maybe ASRA's not everybodies cup of tea but it is what it is.

Nobody is stopping anyone from organising a race and doing it anyway they see fit, most people don't have the bone to sacrifice half their life each year, year in year out to do it. Anybody is welcome to book the Bathurst track for their own mates to have a run down the hill anytime, car clubs do this regularly. We also had sliding and carveboards in prior years that we have cut which wiped about 30 guys out and they didn't dish on us for it they accepted the decision that we would not have them at our World Cup level events. For the World Cup in Bathurst this year the disciplines we are doing are the ones that are listed.

Guff you should spend a little less time these days trying to rock the boat, it contributes nothing.
Its funny, you would never see DH longboarders complain on another gravity sports forum for not being included in a race organised by an association not catering for their disicipline and that they are not even a member of!

I have nothing at all against G bikers but the decisions been made. Lets accept it and move on.
cant we all just get along haha. serious guys were all in to propelling our selves down a hill at RADiculous speeds. gravity sports rock no matter what they are. i give my full respect to every1 involved in downhill, luging, gravity bike. and dare i say it. downhill (inline)skating. takes balls and skill to do what we do and thats Sik. keep enjoying downhill no matter what ur rocking down it. the rivalry is petty and seems do detract from the fact that we are all involved in very similar sports
Robbo puts endless hours of his time into organising newtons with little return (i dont think he got to ride mt panorama last year because he was to busy organising it) so be greatful that in recent years you have been able to race and accept the decision that has been made... Complaining isnt going to help, it will make people NOT
want to include you guys.
build a bridge and get over it.
