oh my god is this thread still going!? seriously buy a set of truck u can afford, skate em, if you like how they feel then theres no need to change. having cnc trucks wont give you an advantage, and there not going to change your life or how you skate, whatever you feel comfortable on is what you should ride, if you need a set of $400 trucks to feel comfortable then so be it.
Personally I'd be embarrassed if I had spent all this money on precisions and then have someone on 'crappy' cast trucks smoke me down a hill. It'd just show that even with all the advantage I get with 'better' gear, I still can't beat someone with 'crappy' gear, but that's just me. If you have the money, its your money (not your parents), spend it however you please, if it's your parent's money I'd feel you have the responsibility to tell them that $400 trucks are not a necessity, if they say yes then go for it!
you really need a set of maguns to go over about 50km/h all other trucks wont handle the speed, they'll end up falling apart when you hit a bump you will also need some white jim z bushings as most other brands melt in the hanger due to friction
i'll race you on randals then....

ok....but i don't have precisions I use randals and crails on my decks, I was trying to make a point about ppl buying precisions even though they haven't really hit higher speeds or tried out other cast trucks
