No problem Will - yeah, I dont expect the base will need to be too much - maybe even just some thin ply - good luck, let me know how you get on! Deeks

yeah - I always put wood under my foam - I reckon you'd run the risk of the foam yeilding to the bend before the ply/veneer down.. I just got some kwik-grip spray on adhesive and stick the foam down to the board..

Here ya go mate. Straight from the horses mouth...

This is where I found the info.

Yeah - I generally have cut a board the same width as the foam mould - usually just a bit of cheap pine (round the edges with sandpaper to avoid damaging the bag) - and about 100mm or so longer than the project. The last one I just used a bit of chipboard cated with malamine (you know, the white smooth stuff) that was 1200x300 - didn't even both to trim it down... The advantage of the bigger bag is you can really grab the sides and pull them out while you vacuum it down - allows you to realy apply some seriouos pressure.

Hey Will - nar I have the 70" x 20" bag... I spoke to the guys at Roarockit about the smaller bag and they reckoned I'd have some issues with the 47x14 - espescially with drop decks - I got it directly from them which was cheaper than the 47x14 but then cost about $60 to ship to Australia...
I could make on for you for about $15-20, but i would have to make a template of your helmet first
Hey will, what helmet do you have?
