i think the shrs are the upgrades to the supercarves.. not sure tho

Paul, with respect to boards 'floating'. I have found that the more flexible the board, the less stable it is at speed (or the more it will float at speed). The tan tien scares me at running speed, and how you ride yours as fast as you do I will never work out :)

Its easy to see, you just stand on your board and put your front heal and your back toes into the board (then swap from toe to heal and vice versa). Watch it flex. As it flexes note that the board and wheels are still pointing forwards but the angle that your trucks are at is changing. I believe this is the floating. I have noticed that the stiffer the board, the more stable it is as you get faster.

On top of that, stability has a lot to do with kingpin angles. 40 Degree is more stable the 52. Just try running a 40 degree base plate (should be all of $25) at the back and you would be surprised how much more stable it is once you start going fast. That and throw your standard bushings out and get some good ones. two in every durometer. Play with them a bit and you will find something you like. If your board has a front and a back, put the stiffer bushings in the back. Also, always have the harder bushing closest to the deck.

Christopher,

I'm using the standard randal bushings on my board, I've toyed with a few other cheapie bushings but as my tan tien is flex 3 (quite flexy) it has a fair bit of flex and carvyness and give without needing really carvey bushings.

one thing ive noticed recently is that when i get speed sometimes the board 'floats' and changes direction fairly easily without my consent.. im not sure if this is because ive put some soft risers up top to lower it that reduce the predictability or what, its a bit like speed wobbles but different..anyone else experienced this? its like your board floats and changes direction all of a sudden
