"dont go to bunnings. there IS good hoop pine which is what you want. a full sheet (1200x2400) of 3mm will cost you about $70. i cant remember the name of the place though; ill find out for you."

"I saw they have some cheapie stuff at bunnings.. i bought some 7mm stuff and planning on layering it to get 14mm"

Mate, sorry I've taken so long to get back to you but I've been away for a few days. The only way you'll setup a board for $160 is if you pick up some gear second hand. A half decent set of trucks, wheels, bearings and hardware is going to set you back around $230 to $250.
