I still classify myself as a newb at longboarding and only recently got a nice tuck going down. Main problem is turning in a tuck, I can turn slightly but when it comes to sharp corners I'm uncormfortable. I have searched it, I've watched videos, tried mimickign what I see, I need a lil more opinion.
So yeah, what helps with you guys, I feel liek I'm missing something. Currently I go into a normal stance to turn, yet after a tuck I go in a awkward position for a bit.

So yeah, advice?

What board do you ride?
heel side is like sitting back into a chair and taking a dump, and toeside is LEAAAAN.....
dude make sure your front foot is sideways... then you will have the best leverage over your turning.
If your board is set up correctly, it will go where your eyes tell it to. Tuck corners that can be tucked, if they cant, dont. For corners that cant be tucked- Drop knee and weight the heelside rail for frontside turns, Dropknee and weight the toeside rail for Backside turns. Grab or dont grab to suit. hand down or not to suit. Slide or Grip it depending on how manly you think you need to feel. Easy.

Don't worry to much about losing a little bit of speed because you're not completely in full tuck toeside, the difference in your time will hardly be noticable. When you're learning try to focus more on the line you take through a corner, this is much more critical and will save you seconds not 10ths of seconds. Approach the corner wide look accross the apex untill you see your exit line then cut in aiming to come as close to the apex of the corner as possible.
You will have to shift your feet around the board a fair bit before and after a corner especially if it is quite sharp just get confident moving your back foot around the board at speed.
