yesh, they are the ones, they are not cheap but
How about these Swiss guys? The shipping prices and stuff confuses me a bit though.

THey are not swiss but german, look at the adress .de as in Deutschland

Regarding the shipping price:

In NON-EU European Countries, there is a customs fee of 18,50 Euros.

If orders are below the above mentioned values, we charge the parcel service shipping fees.

At least 18.50 euro in other words 27 bucks. And I would guess shipping would be around that to count with at least 20 bucks maybe. A total of 118 bucks, not so cheap anymore :P

Sorry, I double posted the link, by Swiss guys I meant these:

Are the 70mm blues just as awesome as the 85mm ones?

If so, i've found a few sites that seem to have them just by basic googling.

no they aren't the same....if memory serves correctly they are the same shape as the Gravity Drifters...which are still pretty nice....but the krypto thane isn't. get the gravs.

as for 85mm kryptos- i've been asked to test a set of 82a krypto L-series HAWGS...
And if no one objects i'd like to run update kinda deal on how they are going.
...you know, like a "living with them" roadtest...

Day One and Two: breaking the beast in.
Took two short missions to break them in and get them behaving consistently.
what they hell was everyone bitching about? honestly, compare them to Blues....

they are no slower (mebbe even faster) than the Krypto Blue. But i will admit to you they are not a fast wheel, if you want fast wheels buy a more modern thane eg: a racing thane, like reflex or o'tang etc.

...besides that, look at what they wanted the wheels for: rough roads, lots of drifting and to replace the blues....its another example of landy taking an existing idea and pretty much keeping the constant, just slightly different...which in this case is great.

they do have a higher chance of flatspotting due to their thane and small contact patch...but so do a lot of wheels( strikers, caddys, bennets 'gators, blues, heshers)...and, if you break them in properly THEN go abuse them they don't seem too bad.

Once broken in the pendys are clean and smooth, no chopping or weird behaviour, they leave a white/orange (say...yellow?) line which didn't get dramatically worse during the 4 hour ride. I did notice some coning happening already but it just made the standies much more predictable....and to be honest, it does look like their life expectancy is only going to be helped by their size....i could imagine a 70mm variant of this wheel getting killed in hours not weeks or months- which would get annoying if your usual runs are gnar and rough and a modern wheel killer anyway.

but if you want something that has all the benefits of the blues....and didn't mind the cons of the blues...i honestly reckon your wheel has been here for a while.

heading out today to give them a proper go on some nice hairpins...let you guys know what happens next in the life of these wheels....
So, after checking out a few sites and doing some hunting i came up with only a few references to the L-series Hawgs in the 76/85mm krypto shape... examples like:

The original Hawgs are slow, the L-Series thane is better, but not too fast (they're crazy fun for freeridin though!)
yes they were...horribly slow...the L-series i would have to agree is actually a lot better.

na get Hawgs, get ones with L-Series formula, iv heard the older ones [pre L-series] are slow as hell.
and again, another person, another reference to the improved ride quality...

the 78a 77mm hawgs i used to own (l-series thane) were faster, and overall, smoother than my 75a gumballs. the hawgs drift smoother and i would've kept em, but my damn biltins wouldn't have fit.
.300....yay.
